Monday, February 7th, was the first day pre-k students at SVCCF received Suzuki Violin lessons. Professor Carol Dallinger of U of E and students Jessie, Kaitlyn and Fatima taught the children feet positions for playing the violin by creating their own ‘feet charts’. Students had their feet traced then colored to help them learn the correct way to stand. The students will next practice violin on cherub box violins. Suzuki classes meet weekly with 18 students receiving instruction.
