Imagine… St. Vincent’s started with two teachers, 17 children each paying $.10 a day, in a borrowed building….That was us in 1918. And look at us now! St. Vincent’s cares for up to 158 children daily, aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
St. Vincent’s earned accreditation in April, 2010, from The National Association for the Education of Young Children and reached Level 4 on Paths to Quality, which is Indiana’s voluntary rating system for child care providers. St. Vincent’s is on the cutting edge as the first child care center in Vanderburgh County to participate in Indiana Department of Environmental Management 5-Star program to guarantee we are taking every step possible to provide a safe environment for children. St. Vincent’s earned a 5-Star certification by I-DEM in 2009.
We are participating in Evansville’s Early Childhood Development Coalition, and are actively involved with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation strategic plan to assure early childhood education is accessible to all very young children in our community. We are constantly working to instill hope in the lives of working families, single moms, foster families, grandparents raising grandchildren and great-grandchildren. St. Vincent’s is also engaging with other early childhood providers to discover and implement best practice ideas, collaborating with Acacia to provide on-site counseling services for children and families, and actively promoting the agency’s Family Advisory Council.
We are excited about the future as St. Vincent’s continues our 92 year legacy of caring for children and families most in need.

I love the mission-vision. Nourishing the child. And since I came from a catholic school like St. Vincent, you got my full support. And by the way, I love kids. Should pay a visit in your school.
St. Vincent’s is the best place for child care providers!
